The new Town Hall of Deventer is beautiful!

A few weeks ago I went to Town Hall Deventer. Here new inhabitants were welcomed by the mayor. And we (the new inhabitants) were the first group that were welcomed in the new Town Hall. This is a beautiful building. With an interesting story.

The iron for the windows are made of fingerprints. These fingerprints are made by inhabitants of Deventer. Many people were against a new Town Hall. Everywhere was a cut back. But the municipality build a new expansive Town Hall. There were protest parades. During this parade some citizens gave the finger to the mayor.

The mayor wanted art in the new Town Hall. A competition was held, and an artist from Deventer won. She would design the art for the Town Hall. There was only one problem. She also gave the finger to the mayor during the protest parade. So she made a plan! She asked the finger prints of citizens of Deventer. Of course some of them were in the same parade. Thy didn’t want to give there finger prints. She said: I didn’t say which finger you need to use. Some chose to give the finger again! So now their protest processed in the Town Hall forever.

VeggieWorld

Today was VeggieWorld in Utrecht Jaarbeurs. Super interesting. As a child in elementary school, I choose to be vegetarian. I really love animals. And I grew up on a hobby farm. So I really didn’t want my chickens, sheep or rabbit on my plate. Of course I didn’t see any harm in eating dairy. I thought it was part of taking care for your animals. The same as me brush my hair or teeth. Part of the daily routine. I actually thought I showed my love by doing this to them. (I left my guinea pigs free, and thought I made the whole world a bit better. But in my Disney world were no hunting dogs from the neighbours. Of course I was 3 years or something.) Still I didn’t want to eat animals, because they are so cute. This home with all the animals was my little heaven.

Later on, we moved. No more farm. Still guinea pigs. I was a bit older and started sporting a lot. I was the only vegetarian in my family. So I switched to flexy vegetarian. I didn’t want my mom to cook an extra meal for me. Mostly because I didn’t eat with them. I came home later because of my sports. I thought it was unsocial to ask this of her. And again, a bit older, my opinion changed. (ow I’m getting old.) Keeping livestock is very inefficient. There is a lot of energy, water and grain consumed by keeping livestock. While there are so many places in the world where is shortage. Besides, we don’t necessarily need meat, fish or dairy products. I didn’t think I could live as a vegan. Because as a real Dutch person I love milk and yoghurt.

But VeggieWorld was my aha moment! They had all the answers to my questions. Fish? No, seaweed! Where do I get my proteins? Beans, nuts, and avocado. Cheese? Yes we have cheese, vegan cheese. Really? Yes, really! And super delicious. So not yet…. But in a few weeks I want to start the vegan challenge. Then I can see how easy it actually is to eat plants. Only plants. So I don’t eat animals, I eat animal food. Rabbit food! I say yes to plant power. I already bought my seaweed. I love seaweed.

At the end of the day De hippe vegetarier had a presentation. She showed all the new food trends for vegetarians. She gave me a lot of inspiration, and I really enjoy her blog.

Detox result!

A While ago I told you I started a detox program. I needed to lose centimeters for a casting et a modeling agency. With the detox program I lost weight. Not that much centimeters. I started looking for a personal trainer. Turns out that many personal trainers didn’t have time for me.

Because Of my course to become a weight consultant I know how someone should lose weight or gain weight, if they have the wrong weight. But specifically lose centimeters on a certain spot while you are under weight. That’s not my field of experience.

I have a love for running and CrossFit. But when I started CrossFit my butt got bigger. So at the modeling agency thy told me to stop with CrossFit. One personal trainer did have the time to tell me that I have an estrogen imbalance. Hormones determine where your fat stores. Many woman suffer from an estrogen imbalance. For example, this could be caused by the contraceptive pill.
The personal trainer told me a little bit about what I needed to eat and witch supplements I needed to take. Next to that he told me about a few exercises.

But these were the same as on CrossFit . So I contacted my CrossFit trainer. We work together now. I need to lift lower weights and do more reps. In this way you focus more on combustion.

So now I’m back again and motivated to lose more centimeters.

This is me when I was on CrossFit.

This are the results from my detox program.

Rawsome is awesome!!

Today my friend took me to Rawsome in Arnhem for a brunch. Her friend has just become vegan.
Everything at Rawsome is vegan, gluten-free, and raw. So everything is perfect for my diet!!!
I love this place. Every bite I took gave me a mouthgasm. And for all the chocolate gravers. Here I learned how you can eat something that tastes like chocolate, bud is more healthy.
I’m one of you, I’m totally devoted to chocolate.

Next to that you can by raw chocolate. Which are still fat bud it are the good fats. We like those!
For all the people who don’t have Rawsome close to them. In Jumbo and other local supermarkets you can buy them now.

I’m not a vegan. I don’t eat meat. I do eat fish and cheese. Bud because of Neeltje’s friend we both something that tastes like cheese bud isn’t cheese. It’s not from an animal. I’m going to try this. Lather on you can read what my thoughts are about it.

Studying for my exam !!!

Tomorrow morning I have my exam. If I pass this I am a weight consultant.
Studying is not my strongest point. Specially with my dyslexia, this is a problem.
I am a hands on person. So learning from a book is not my thing.
I really enjoy consulting and helping people eating healthy. You have to be honest, else you won’t help your client. This is where I look for in my job. So I really want to pass this exam!

What I did! I made a power point presentation from the books. I pretended to present it to someone. The best way to learn for me is to talk about the subject. Next to that I used efaqt. On this website you can make a epitome from your books. Not only that, you can make mind maps, it tells you when you need a break. It is very helpful and I recommend it to all of you who have problems with studying.

Wish me luck on my exam tomorrow. After this I can blog a lot more !!!!

Detoxing

A while ago I told you about my Casting. In Delicious Cinnamon Smoothie.
A great experience. In 2015 I also started a course to become a weight consultant.
So when they told me I needed  to lose 8cm from my waist and hips, I was extra motivated.
If I’m going to become a model or not, by shaping myself I will improve in helping others.
The only problem was that my weight was healthy weight. Next to that I have some muscles going on. Not a lot. Losing muscle takes a lot more time than lose fat. Thy are coming back in march. So I needed to use my time wisely.

My plan: Detoxing and stop with CrossFit.
My mam gave me a very old book that told me about detoxing. She also told me that in the hospital she learned that grave juice cleanses the best. The modeling agency advised me to live on lemon water. This approach didn’t suit me so well. So for 3 days I lived on lemon water and grave juice. Wits was unlikely tasty!  A very nice summer smoothie. My step mother (a very kind mother and person) tippet me about the book ‘In 28 dagen van gifbelt naar tempel’ a detox food program from Jaqueline Van Lieshout (Detox coach). A great book with incredibly tasty recipes. In this 3 days I was very cold and didn’t have any energy. Day 1 I went running. This was not a good plan! It was to cold and disappointing.
When I could eat again, I started sporting again. Only cardio training. I was afraid to build muscles, so I also needed to stop CrossFit. And I am a little in love with CrossFit, so this was hard on me.
Instead of CrossFit I do at home yoga sessions. Because of all my running and wearing heels to often is all agility out of my legs. With results I was losing weight! Super great!
Well no… I was losing weight but no centimeters.
So I needed to have someone who could coach me in this. I’m 1.80 and 55 kilo’s. I don’t need to lose weight.
I found a personal trainer who gave me a diet, and a work out plan.

Results:

Weight lose, and yes some cm. Slowly it’s working. Next to that I found all this great recipes. I feel much better when I’m eating. When you eat healthy you don’t need all this bad snacks anymore. Only chocolate is still something I can’t resist.  My body also feels better during sporting. Before I was no morning runner bud now I am!

During my morning run. Running to the sun.

Long time no see !!

Sorry for being a stranger. My life was on a roll.' Really ?'Yes really.
That doesn’t mean I didn’t have time to write my blog.
The blog just seemed very far away from me. It didn’t suit me anymore.
That’s why my blog is going to chains. Because life changes. I change.
No problem we all evolve and grow. It would be strange if we didn’t!

So now I will build something new and beautiful that suits me better.
A blog that’s more personal. A blog that’s 100% Richt.

I'm not great in studying, I'm not perfect (even though I keep trying), I fail some times, but I try to be honest and myself. So that’s what you will find on this blog now.
The only people where you can learn from and who are inspiring are the people who are true.
Who don’t act. So from now on I will write only about thing that are close to me. Because those are the only things that are actually interesting. Real people, real thoughts.

Running with the dog!

It's been Easter. The Easter breakfast was of cours very healthy and without calories. Luckily it was sunny outside. So it was time for a super fun work out.

Running with the dog! If the dog is trained he can give you a litle push. That will make you go so much harder. Its feels like you are sprinting, but because of the push you can go on much longer. There are even running matches with the dog. This is called Canicross. Most contests are between 5 and 10 KM. I don't recommend longer distances, since dog's can't get rid of their heat.Canicross is a sport blown over from Canada to Earope. In the Netherlands there are only a few contests yet.

My dog is not trained. Therefore I determine the pace, and the dog runs next to me.Yet running with the dog is more enjoyable. Try to runn of roads in the forest. Running trough fields and water, so its a training for you and the dog. Its also a opportunity for the dog to cool off.

The different surfaces en speedyng's make it an interval treining. For me it remains a challenge to find new obstacles for me and the dog. See if you can find obstacles and post them here. Then we can inspire each other.

Zin en woord foutjes!

Zin en woord foutjes ? Ja zin en woord foutjes.
But my name is Richt. So I'm Always right! I never make mistakes.
'Nee, doe ik ook niet. Nooit!'

The power of Now

Life can’t be all joy. If there is joy there is also sorrow. I found this book whit practical tips for productive living. This book really opened my eyes.

At the end of the day, I’ts not happiness that makes us thankful, but thankfulness that makes us happy.

My blog is about being happy. Bud if you know what happiness is you also know how it is to be unhappy. 1 thing is not one without the other. This book really opened my eyes. Not only this book it started whit a blog.

Thanks to this blog I found this book. While I was reading this book a friend of mine brought me some wisdom on Facebook.

I don’t believe in the idea of god. I think people named it god and gave it a form. So it’s easier to understand and judge it. I think that the thing we call god is a power within you and me. We need to fight for this and improve it every day. It’s not that I am an angel or mother Teresa bud, I do try and work hard. I belief she is saying here, that it was never between you and all the people in this world, bud between you and your conscience.

Being conscience means that you watch yourself. You watch your thoughts, and your emotions.
This is what you will learn if you read the book. The one big lesson I found was that happiness is in everything and everywhere, especially in nature. Our goal shouldn’t be to create a perfect life, but to live an imperfect life in radical amazement. To get up every morning and take a good look around in a way that takes nothing for granted. Every day is a gift. Never treat life casually. To be spiritual in any way is to be amazed in every way.

Little enjoyable thing's...!

Spring ...!!! Flowers, young animals, and sweetness.

On my 40 min. run I found this gentleman. A lonely master of ceremonies waiting for the bride and groom.

Spring food ...!
